Our new Shimmer Tubes feature a sparkling glitter effect, and are disposable for easy cleanup. These tubes are available in neon orange, yellow, pink, and green and have a "glowing" effect when viewed from the top. Molded from premium FDA approved food & laboratory grade polystyrene. Polystyrene tubes offer glass-like clarity and prevents the breakage problems associated with glass test tubes. Polystyrene is a plastic resin and does scratch easily. This item will have minor scratches.

Polystyrene (PS) is a polymer made from the monomer styrene, a liquid hydrocarbon that is commercially manufactured from petroleum. At room temperature, polystyrene is normally a solid thermoplastic, but can be melted at higher temperature for molding or extrusion, then resolidified.
