These economical weights are made from low density polyethylene and will not scratch or mar expensive glassware. The heavy rings are filled with sand, reducing possible concerns about lead. Available in two different sizes, these rings are ideal for stabilizing glass and plastic containers as well as eliminating floating, drifting and tipping in water baths or on benchtops. Screw cap closures can be taken off to remove sand to decrease the weight. User can increase the weight of the rings by replacing the sand with heavier material.
