Just put it on the lab bench or desk and it is ready to hold pipettes, stirring rods, burettes, thermometers, pencils, etc. Such items will not roll away while held in the semi-circular notches. The stand is especially useful as a sterile hood tool. Molded of polypropylene, the support is 3-1/4" (83 mm) diameter x 2 3/16" (59 mm) high and is steam autoclavable at 250ºF (121ºC).
